Amazing Women: a workshop celebrating women
(and raising money for an important cause)
Chances are, you know someone who has been diagnosed with breast cancer. If you don't now, the harsh facts say that eventually you will.
Big Picture Scrapbooking is pleased to offer a special workshop taught by Lisa Flanagan. This workshop has been designed to raise money, to increase awareness, and to celebrate women.
Using the new Pink Ribbon Edition MyBook Adaptable Journal, we're going to create mini-books that celebrate the women who are (or have been) important in our lives. We want to pay tribute to the female relatives, friends, colleagues, and even celebrities who have inspired us in small or BIG ways.
In this workshop, you'll get ideas and suggestions on how to customize your journal. You'll be able to download interview sheets and questionnaires to help you gather information about the amazing women in your life, and you'll receive inspirational quotes and facts about breast cancer.
Lisa is joined by many BPS teachers and team members in this important cause. We hope you'll join us, see their ideas, make your own tribute book, and share your ideas in the gallery
and all gallery participants will be eligible for special "pink product" giveaways.
Lisa Flanagan is the Production Coordinator for Per Annum, Inc., a small woman-owned diary publisher in New York City. Last year, Lisa's boss was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Still undergoing treatment, she is a survivor. In response to watching this courageous fight, Lisa and her colleagues at Per Annum developed The Pink Ribbon edition MyBook to help raise funds, increase awareness, and provide a customizable journal for all who are touched by this disease.
Per Annum will donate 10% of its sales to Breast Cancer Related Charities (divided between the Avon Foundation, Susan G. Komen Foundation, and the Breast Treatment Task Force). BPS will also be donating 10% of its proceeds to this important cause.
