NINE words
I love are:
mayhem, brouhaha,
ballyhoo (I do have four boys), elucidate, dark chocolate peppermint
ice cream - that's nine, right?
EIGHT
things I hope I never have to do again:
- admit to
my mother that I was the one who broke my sister's wrist
- get my hair
cut by anyone other than Missy (I'm so relieved to have found
someone who makes it look good every time)
- go back
to junior high (ugh)
- spend a weekend
home with sick kids and no good books to read
- live anywhere
in the country that's also inhabited by roaches
- date
- diet
- do laundry
(a girl can dream, right?)
SEVEN things
I love about my "every day" life
- Sunday:
being the song leader for the little kids' class at church
- Monday:
coming home from the grocery store with food to fill my empty
pantry
- Tuesday:
dance class (after twenty years, I'm taking dance again)
- Wednesday:
having the kids home a little earlier than usual
- Thursday:
it's weekend eve
- Friday: date
night!
- Saturday:
I wish I could say sleeping in, but the little one's up at 6:30
day in and day out, so I'll have to go with having my husband
home all day long (when it's not football season, of course)
SIX
places I'd love to visit before I die:
- Londonbeen
there and can't wait to go back
- Tuscanypreferably
on a photography tour
- The Mediterraneanvia
a luxurious cruise ship, please
- Every Max
Brenner's location
- Powell's
bookstore in Portland Ore-again I've been there, but it's
worth multiple visits
- Ireland
FIVE things
I do everyday, without fail:
- kiss my kids
- eat Raisin
Nut Bran cereal
- tell my husband
I love him
- read
- pray
FOUR stores/websites
I frequent:
THREE photos
I love:
TWO
decisions I've never regretted:
- I planned
to go to graduate school and then get a job teaching at a universitybut
I decided to be a stay at home mom instead and I have never once
worried that I made a mistake.
- I said yes
when a boy I'd known less than six months asked me to marry him.
ONE
additional and very important thing you should know about me is:
I do not believe
in scrapbooking because you feel like you ought to do it.
I believe in scrapbooking because you love it, because it's a break
from daily life, and because you have stories you cannot wait to
tell. If that means I take a break from scrapbooking now and then,
that's ok. I'd rather take a break and come back later (years later,
even!) if that means I always enjoy this hobby.
