"Clearly
Fun" Acrylic Album
Creative techniques
with acrylic
Way
before all the clear products came into
the scrapbooking market, I was fascinated
with "clear stuff"! I was an early
adopter of the vellum and transparency craze
and anything else clear that has hit the
scrapbooking shelves since. I have always
loved the look of layers on scrapbook pages
and art projects. Clear products and pages
give me the ability to catch a glimpse and
a sneak peek of what's below the surface
or just around the corner on my projects
and I love the way that looks! Acrylic albums
are great fun to work with, and provide
so many opportunities to create amazing
layered looks.
In
this Projects Now class, I will share my
favorite tips and techniques for creating
with acrylic albums, using pens, alcohol
inks, transparency sheets and lacy cut-out
papers! I really love the way my book turned
out: my theme was "Senior Prom,"
which I have to admit was inspired by
Twilight by Stephanie Meyer: the main
character in the book is a high school girl
who has an unlikely romance with a vampire!
(She also goes to prom with him!...hence
the inspiration!) Please feel free to dedicate
your acrylic book to any person or event
you like, because the opportunities for
inspiration are "clearly'' endless!
