BPS: What do we need to know about you?
[LE] For this one, I went to the experts. My daughter Kinsey (6) says I should tell you Im a great scrapbooker, and that I have three children. And dont interrupt when Im talking. My son Ben (9) says not to ask for seconds on soda at a restaurant unless you ask me first. He also says I am free and like having fun but I wont tolerate rough-housing and teasing. Keep that in mind when taking my classes! Callie, my two-year-old, adds that I like goodies, especially yellow ones. Whatever that means. I suppose I should add that Ive been scrapbooking for almost 10 years, and Ive been a journalist for almost that exact same length of time but those are just details.
BPS: What do you like about your friends?
[LE] My favorite people to hang out with have great senses of humor, strong work and personal ethics, and passions they are dedicated to. We dont have to like the same things in fact, I love it when my friends introduce me to something new! Oh, having the same shoe size is a definite plus (Im a 7-1/2).
BPS: Where do you hope to go?
[LE] Wherever God wants me to. I live each day in the hope and expectation that He is revealing his plan to me, one step at a time. Hopefully, the journey will include a few visits to Maui. J
BPS: What do you need everyday?
[LE] Hugs from my family, my knitting needles, my iPod, a little bit of scrapbooking, and about a gallon of Starbucks iced tea.
BPS: Whats your favorite line?
[LE] Ive got tons! We quote movies, songs and books and ourselves! -- all the time around here. But I think my favorite thats scrapbooking-related is, Its only paper!
BPS: Where do you wish you could shop?
[LE] Oh goodness. I would have to say, a smaller size section that I currently shop in!
BPS: What do you believe in?
[LE] I believe in Santa Claus, family, and the restorative powers of paper, ribbon, and peanut M&Ms . I believe in hand-addressing Christmas cards, in building community wherever I am, and in choosing faith. And I believe that one of the great travesties of our time is that Joaquin Phoenix did not receive an Oscar for his portrayal of Johnny Cash in Walk the Line.
BPS: If you could take only one thing before you left the planet, what would you take?
[LE] The sense that I finished what I was sent here to complete.
BPS: Why are you teaching this class?
[LE]: I am passionate about scrapbooking, writing, and teaching. This class is a way to bring all my loves together. Plus, working with Stacy and the BPS crew is a dream come true!
