BPS:
What do we need to know about you?
[MEC]: I love being married to my husband. I have two awesome
daughters. I know way too many lyrics to 80's songs. I cry
really easily at movies ; it is so annoying sometimes. Some
might say I am a "dork"- I say I have a sense of
humor. One way you are laughing at me, the other laughing
with me- either way, it is laughter and that is a good thing!
BPS:
What do you like about your friends?
[MEC]: They all seem to have good hair. I guess that is why
there was none left for me. (Hair hogs.) Even still, I can't
say enough good things about them. And, they listen to me…
I might talk too much, but I am not sure. (Maybe I should
ask them!)
BPS:
Where do you hope to go?
[MEC]: Figuratively speaking? Forward. Always learning, growing,
doing. Don't look back. No regrets. More literally? Well,
this week?- on a date with my husband. Long term?- I need
to travel; anywhere and everywhere. …it would be cool
to go to space, as long as I came back…. Eternally?-
heaven with my family.
BPS:
What do you need everyday?
[MEC]: oxygen (I don't think my brain is getting enough).
water. sleep. a laugh. a run or a hike. sometimes both. quiet
time. "art time". a "Sophia snuggle".
an "Isabel giggle". and hugs 'round the house.
BPS:
What's your favorite line?
[MEC]: A squiggly line. Oh, not that kind of line? Then, Angelica
Graynamore-"I have no response to that." Did I miss
again? How about Kaffe Fassett, Martha Negley, Amy Butler….
BPS:
Where do you wish you could shop?
[MEC]: Oilily.
BPS:
What do you believe in?
[MEC]: I believe in naps. I believe portions in restaurants
are way too big. I believe in shopping at locally owned Mom
& Pop shops whenever possible. I believe in audible books
for kids while driving in the car. I believe in a sense of
humor. I believe in giving people second chances (I know I
need them). I believe in gratitude. I believe in forgiveness.
I believe in scrapbooking and telling your story. I believe
our Savior when He says we can overcome anything. I believe
all people need to know and feel deep within their souls how
wonderful they are and that they have something important
to offer others. I believe in creative empowerment. I believe
in always learning. I believe girls ROCK!
BPS:
If you could take only one thing before you left the planet,
what would you take?
[MEC]: well, that's a little vague… am I leaving forever?
Is it a solo trip or with loved ones? Will there be essentials
like toilet paper and water? All these things have to be taken
into consideration. But, if it were just "we're leaving
right now! grab it and go!" I would probably miss the
opportunity because I wouldn't be able to decide, or I would
go empty handed! (I like to travel light anyway?)
BPS:
Why are you teaching this class?
[MEC]: I love it. I want you to love it. I love to share ideas
and inspire and get the same back in turn. It is great fun.
I love being part of the bigger community that BPS offers
each of us!
