BPS: What do we need to know about you?
RP: That I'm inconsistent, but loyal. Impractical, but reliable. Strong-willed but sensitive. Happy almost all of the time. What you need to know about me is that I'm just like you!
BPS: What do you like about your friends?
RP: That they accept and love me just the way I am!
BPS: Where do you hope to go?
RP: Wow! I could answer that so many ways. (Laughs) I suppose you mean travel. If so, then I'd have to say Egypt and Greece. Egypt not so much these days…too dangerous. But someday I'd love to see the antiquities of Egypt and Greece. I'd love to go to those places and imagine them in their glory days.
BPS: What do you need everyday?
RP: A hug and a kiss from my husband, Kent.
BPS: What's your favorite line?
RP: Can I have two? "Whatever you can do, or dream you can do, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it. Begin it now." Goethe said that and I try to remind myself of it everyday. The other one is by Emile Zola, "If you ask me what I came into the world to do, I will tell you I came to live out loud."
BPS: Where do you wish you could shop?
RP: Hmmm… That's a hard question because my two favorite places to shop are IKEA and Target and I CAN shop there. I suppose I'd have to say the markets of Istanbul, Turkey. I hear there's some amazing stuff there and the bargaining is half the fun. And, of course, who doesn't want to shop in Paris?
BPS: What do you believe in?
RP: I believe in love. I know it sounds trite, especially these days. But I do. I believe that love is the essential element of the universe and when we allow ourselves to surrender to love, any and every thing is possible.
BPS: If you could take only one thing before you left the planet, what would you take?
RP: My Mac Powerbook! I just hope they have DSL where I'm going.
BPS: Why do you like teaching at Big Picture Scrapbooking?
RP: Because the students are amazing and so talented. Because Stacy, Paula and Kayce are great people and I love working with them. Because I'm hooked on the feeling I get when someone writes to me and says, "I never thought I could do this. Now I can. Thank you."
