BPS: What do we need to know about you?
RJ: I've been married for 19 years to my wonderful husband Andrew and we have 4 great kids. I love tennis, photography, piano, travel and friends. My favorite season is fall and I love the smell of rain. My kids and I love to have "johnson happy hour" and we try to see who can laugh the hardest. Movies are my big escape in life and my favorite thing is a backrub.

BPS: What do you like about your friends?
RJ: I love friends that make me laugh. Laughing out loud is so therapeutic! I love friends that are loyal and compassionate. Everyone needs a friend who really cares. I am grateful for friends that are honest with me and aren't afraid to tell me when I need to change. I love friends that I can be myself with. I am blessed in my life to have so many great friends! My favorite friend quote says, "Friends are the marshmallows in the hot chocolate of life!" I agree! Friends make life sweet…

BPS: Where do you hope to go?
RJ: I hope to go where I am meant to be! I feel that each of us comes here with gifts and talents for a reason. It took me a long time to embrace my creativity as an important part of my gifts. I have had some great opportunities in the scrapbooking industry and I hope to keep pushing my creative abilities. Right now, I am totally into photography. Who knows what I will do next?! I try to follow where my heart takes me.

BPS: What do you need everyday?
RJ: Hugs from my kids or husband, prayer, a pair of old levi's, a chance to create, uplifting music, scriptures and some fresh air.

BPS: What's your favorite line?
RJ: Luckeee…. (Napolean Dynamite)

BPS: Where do you wish you could shop?
RJ: I'd shop anywhere if I had money to spend and a friend to enjoy it with.

BPS: What do you believe in?
RJ: That is a big question! There is much that I believe in. I have a lot of faith and I definitely believe in God and in Jesus Christ. I believe in the importance of families and I know the power of prayer is real. I also believe that we have each have the power within ourselves to do amazing things-to teach, to heal, to help, to uplift, to make a change, to make a difference. I know there is a great purpose to our lives and it is important to find what that is. I believe it is never too late to say you're sorry and never to late to start over. I believe life is meant to be lived and enjoyed!!

BPS: If you could take only one thing before you left the planet, what would you take?
RJ: I'd like to take my family with me. But if that is not an option, I'd definitely take my camera!

BPS: Why do you like teaching at Big Picture Scrapbooking?
RJ: BPS is an incredible gathering place. First of all, there is no one I would rather be associated with than Stacy Julian. We love you Stacy! She is an outstanding individual in every way and I feel lucky to know her. Secondly, I love the feeling here. Students are excited to learn and teachers are willing to share. The students I have met have been so positive and great to have in class. That makes my job fun. And the third reason is that I just love to teach. Both of my parents were university professors and I definitely have the same desire. Thanks for this incredible opportunity BPS!!
