Tapestry Woven with Memories

Do you remember events by the outfit you wore? Are memories of your childhood interwoven with images of the curtains at Grandma's house? Memories are often woven in the fabric of a story, and this class allows you to combine beautiful fabrics with pictures to create a tapestry! This "hanging decoration" of fabrics, interwoven with your photos and unique experience in the world, will display a story you want to tell.

Mamie Coffey, who teaches scrapbooking and quilting classes in Phoenix, AZ, will guide you through your exploration of fabric, photos, and art. In addition to scrapbooking, Mamie's passions include sewing, hand embellishing, and stamping. Using all of these techniques, Mamie has developed her own methodology, which she calls "scrapbook fusion." With Mamie's unique approach, vision, and sense of humor, you will combine the best of sewing, stamping, and scrapbooking to interpret and display your story!

Projects Now classes are instant download classes that allow you to participate at BPS anytime! These classes are different from our interactive workshops. There are no starting or ending dates - you may enroll at any time. This flexibility also means, that there will not be the level of teacher and student interaction that we enjoy in our workshops. You will receive handouts to print and an audio file to listen to, but there are typically no message boards or chats.
