Hi Everyone! It's Elisha Snow with Big Picture Scrapbooking, and I'm so excited to offer this third class in my series of photography classes. For this class, Moving Into Manual Mode, you'll need to have a digital SLR camera. You need to know the basics of composition and lighting and have a good basic working knowledge of your camera. Hopefully you've been able to practice a lot in auto, program, aperture-priority and shutter-priority settings.

This class is going to be packed with information. We'll start off by talking about the definition of exposure and explain the elements that go into getting a perfect picture. We'll discuss ISO and why understanding it is crucial. From there we'll discuss aperture and shutter speed in depth, and finally we'll learn how to move your dial to manual and put it all together!

In addition to the basics I'll share some fun photography facts and tips with you and give you a peek into how I personally adjust my camera and get the shots I want, as well as my post-processing tips. Most importantly, you'll be able to ask questions on the message board and at the online chat session! You'll be provided with several printable handouts, audio messages and lots of full-color photos!

My goal for you is that by the end of four weeks you'll finally "get it," and fully understand all that goes into creating a stellar photo. There's nothing better than looking up on your living room wall and seeing a huge beautiful, framed photograph that you took. Believe me…it's awesome!
I can't wait for you to join me in this adventure. It's going to require lots of practice and work on your part, but it will be worth it in the end. I promise! See you in class!
