Hi everyone, this is Nic Howard with big Picture Scrapbooking. I am thrilled to be here telling you about my new workshop, Point of View.

I must admit I've never been one to enjoy basic or typical journaling. I've never been a cliché kind of girl. Completing something just how it was expected was never my forte; I have always enjoyed looking outside of the square and finding new ways to do things.
Once I became a scrapbooker and started sharing my projects, I found that people would ask me about my journaling. Why did you journal about that? That's an interesting perspective! That's a great way to tell the story! It got me thinking.

It was about this time that I started to realize not everyone approaches telling the story in their scrapbook pages the same. Finding the fun and interesting story in a photo or scrapbook page didn't come naturally for everyone and I started to become passionate about helping people understand that scrapbooking is more than just the who, when, why, and what. For every photo there are countless different stories to tell if only we learn to view them from the point of view of someone else. There is a world of perspective and possibility for telling your story, and I want to help you discover it.

In my workshop, Point of View, I want to set aside the monotony that can go along with creating the types of pages that occur year after year. This is not only the birthday, Christmas and other holiday photos, but the everyday photos that we want to scrapbook, but are unenthusiastic about because we've run out of things to say.

This class is full of layouts, handouts, tips, technique and more. Here is a little bit more about why you might want to sign up.

1. Because I have a lot to say. I have a lot to say because I really enjoy looking beyond the obvious and finding fun and interesting things to scrapbook about.
2. I want to hear from you. I will do everything possible to be available to you on the message board, commenting in the gallery, chatting with you at pre-determined times and answering emails in order to make this a positive experience. One of my favourite parts of teaching is the student teacher interaction; this is totally available through Big Picture Scrapbooking!
3. Scrapbooking with your stash! This is a chance to use up some of your supplies. None of the projects in this class require the use of specific products. Instructions are given for a variety of projects, and I encourage you to use the products you have on hand. There will be tips and techniques and sketches throughout the workshop to help you along your way. Pair this with being able to use the products you already have on hand - a perfect recipe for success!
4. Projects galore! I really wanted to make sure the content in this workshop was going to really get in. My aim is to have you all enthusiastic and inspired for months to come. Having a variety of projects from all sorts of people just further enhances the experience, giving you more chance to connect with the stories that are being told and makes everything so much more memorable.

So. Are you curious? Are you ready to get going? Come join me. Point of View is going to be such a rewarding workshop. You'll walk away with a fresh new way of thinking and plenty of inspiration to scrap common topic pages for years to come. I can't wait to have you join me - this is BIG!
