Hi, Tena Sprenger here, and I'm so excited to share something super big with you for 2008. It's Big Picture Scrapbooking's all new, brand new, groundbreaking, Book-of-the-Month Club reading club. Yes, you heard me right!

As creative souls, I think so much of our inspiration comes from the world around us, what we hear, touch, experience, and most definitely what we read. If you listened to the other audio about the handmade book of the month club that's on this promotional site today, you've heard me say that most of my inspiration for what I create most definitely comes from what I read, whether it's a quote, a theme from a book, photos from a book, or the story line from a book. I just love the inspiration that I receive from books. I can't tell you how many times when I sit down with friends and family that the subject matter of our conversations turns to what we've most recently read and enjoyed in books. We thought it would be a simply wonderful place and a wonderful thing to start a community at Big Picture Scrapbooking to discuss books, because so many of the things that we end up discussing as scrapbookers, so many of the topics, are actually books. What better place to start than with the books that inspired our handmade book of the month projects for 2008.

So, guess what, every month of 2008 in our Book-of-the-Month Club reading club, we will be discussing a different book. And I think we've got a little bit of something for everyone here. We have artsy books with some how-to type of techniques that we'll be discussing. We have novels with fantastic story lines, some humorous, some heartwarming. We have self-help books, and we have some inspirational books. So, I think we'll pretty much have a potpourri and there will be something for everyone out there. I'm hoping that every month folks will chime in on the message boards that we have dedicated to our book club members. We can chat about the books that we're reading, what we love, how they inspire us, maybe the thoughts and questions that they provoke in our own minds, and I just think it's going to be fabulous. I cannot wait to see how it goes.

Every month we will have a little e-mail out there letting you know which book we're going to be discussing. There will be an audio from me introducing the book and kind of sharing my thoughts on it, why I loved it, what I thought about it, and then the rest of the month will be dedicated to our book club members and hearing what you all thought about the book. I think it's going to be a great way to form a community at Big Picture Scrapbooking for people who love books, just like me.

And guess what? It's free, which is totally fabulous. So, whether you are in the Handmade Book-of-the-Month Club and making the handmade books every month that were inspired by these books, or whether you just love to read like me, please join us in this first-ever Big Picture Scrapbooking Book-of-the-Month Club. I think it's going to be a blast. I think we're going to make lots of new friends, and I think it's just going to be a great place to hang out and talk about things that we love.
