About
Wendy Smedley...
BPS:
What do we need to know about you?
WMS: I am your advocate. I strive to offer ideas, solutions
and concepts that
enable and encourage you to scrapbook. This is my passion
and my full-time
job-I can't believe I get paid to do it. I love being around
people. I love to laugh and to make other people laugh, and
I secretly want to be a stand-up comedian some day (not so
secret anymore). I love to read, sometimes too much. I just
signed up for an online used-book exchange called Novel
Action, hoping to feed my appetite for books and to save
on library fines. I love my kids. My five sons are all in
school now, and I miss them more than I thought I would. I
love to discover cool things online and blog about them. That
is it for now.
BPS:
What do you like about your friends?
WMS: Number one, they make me laugh. What else do you need?
BPS:
Where do you hope to go?
WMS: Anywhere with my friend Stacy Julian. We traveled together
quite a bit until this year. I hope that next year we'll get
to travel together some. Other
than that, I want to seek nature out more. I live in such
a beautiful state, and I want to take better advantage of
it next year.
BPS:
What do you need every day?
WMS: People around me (most certainly my family), a phone
chat with my mom or my sisters, a pencil and a notebook or
paper of some kind, something to read, and an internet connection.
BPS:
What is your favorite line?
WMS: Right now:
"Fresh Anthology" by Making Memories
Sweetwater's "A-Z" with the tiny tags
Fontwerks' journaling stamps
KI Memories' "Pet Shop" line (The little birdies
are so cute!)
American Crafts' foam letter stickers
Anything from Maya Road
I'm certain there are more, but that's off the top of my head,
right now.
BPS:
Where do you wish you could shop?
WMS: at an IKEA- in person (we have one opening in SLC spring
2007)
BPS:
What do you believe in?
WMS: I believe in living with intention. I believe that we
all face huge
challenges that, in the end, make us better people. I believe
that we all
have something to offer this world. I believe in sharing wholeheartedly.
BPS:
If you could take only one thing before you left the planet,
what would you take?
WMS: My family, if I could. I would take my scrapbooks; or
at least my photos.
BPS: Why do you like teaching at Big Picture Scrapbooking?
WMS: What better place to combine my passions-my love of scrapbooking,
sharing and connecting-all in the same place?
